$10 and a Blog Post for the Top Commentator This Month

Hi all, I’m running a contest in an effort to promote the “community feel” in this blog. The top commentator for this month will receive $10 via PayPal (Yeah, I’m not rich… go ahead, throw your tomatoes on me) and a review of his site.

Read the comment policy for the rules. Tch… I know some of you are too lazy to click the link on the menu. Here are the guidelines:

1. You may only enter your name or nickname in the “Name” field. You may not use a keyword or a key phrase!

2. Your comments should not be one-liners like “Nice” and “Good post”. They must have CONTENT and they must express your real opinion.

3. Comments may not have more than three (3) outbound links; this includes the link that you put in the “URL” field.

The winner will get $10 and the blog post on December 1, 2007. Make sure you enter a valid e-mail address when commenting so that I can contact you if ever you win! Sounds good? Then help make this contest a success by commenting! :mrgreen:

    Now this is a good promotional idea. It encourages strong commenting, strong linking and creates goodwill amongst fellow bloggers. Kudos to you for such a cool idea.

    As a brand spanking new blog still getting its feet wet on the www, link acquisition and strong comment strategies are the name of the game for me right now. Therefore, I appreciate strategies like this all the more. Good luck and I hope it pays off for you.

    Sounds like a pretty nice contest, also pretty surprising to see this post has received only 22 comments till now. So i guess the odds of winning are really good. :wink: Lets see .. This could infact be my first contest win, that is if i win this ..

    It’s not every month, Meethere. :) I just run contests whenever I feel there’s a need to do so.
