Autosurf Programs and their Dark Secrets
Posted by Mike | Filed under Traffic, Traffic-buildingIn case you do not know, Autosurf programs are usually websites (sometimes software) which lets you get traffic for your site by automatically exchanging hits with other members of the program. Each site submitted by a member will appear on a frame and will stay there for a couple of seconds. After that, a new site will load and the process continues.

For your site to appear, you need to have some credits. Credits are earned by ‘surfing’ other members’ websites, but you do not actually have to surf, you just have to leave your browser open and let the autosurfer do the job.
Most people tend to say that this is a very good tactic to increase their website’s traffic. Imagine, just by sitting in front of your computer, browsing other sites or updating your content, you can get hundreds or even thousands of hits per hour!
But what the autosurf program users do not realize is that no one is actually viewing their sites, and the same people (ermm… computers) are hitting them. What’s worse, other people actually buy some credits just to get a lot of ‘traffic’ from the program!
To make it brief, I’ll list three (3) reasons why autosurf programs are useless.
• No one actually visits your sites
• Your site gets the same visitors over and over again
• If you serve AdSense ads, prepare for your doom
Here’s an advice: do not use these programs if you are really serious about your site. Instead, advertise your site through advertising networks or get traffic by working hard. I have a post to help you boost your traffic here.
