If you’re in need of some high-quality, targeted web traffic, there are a lot of ways to get it. Optimize your site for highly searched keywords, advertise via ad networks and all that. Usually these methods cost a lot… and no one would want to spend a lot especially if he’s on a tight budget. Well, here’s another (frequently underrated) way to get targeted traffic that actually converts — posting on forums!

Take a look at where most of my visitors for today came from:

Came From Image

Most of them were from Digital Point (I suppose you know what DP is!). In case you don’t know, DP is a place where webmasters lurk. See that? Just by placing a link in my signature and by being a proactive member, people will be able to find your site and take a look at what you have to offer! Some of you might say…

“Meh… those guys don’t even look at your site.”
“Do they even read your posts? I bet not!”

You got it all wrong buddy… Some people even stay for more than an hour! And look, this guy seemed to like this blog a lot…

5 Hour Visit Haha, take a look at that! He spent 5 hours, 50 minutes and 49 seconds going around the blog, reading the posts, rating them, commenting and all that. I bet he even clicked an ad which interested him… Now that’s a high-quality visitor!

So there, you can actually get some targeted prospects by just posting on forums — just be sure that you don’t spam; contribute to the community and you’ll get your fair share. Oh, and the best part is, you can even learn new things and not spend a dime while getting so much traffic! If you’re not a member of any online community, why don’t you start now so that you can experience a rush of traffic to your site?

I’ve been a member of such forums, but still haven’t got the time to be more involved… guess it depends on how much I wanted to be active, huh..
