Are you earning a small amount of money from all the affiliate programs that you’re participating in? Do you think that they’re not worth it? Fear not, because I will give you some tips on how to boost your affiliate program income dramatically.

In this post, I will not talk about the basics. Instead, I will discuss some techniques on how to further optimize your revenue from affiliate programs.

Using Online Classified Ads

There are many sites which offer free classified ads for you to use. You may use them to your advantage by setting up a classified ad and using your affiliate link as the URL. Be sure to select the right category for your product!

Some of the best sites which offer online classified ads are Craigslist, Gumtree and Oodle.

Take a look at the image on the left. It’s an example of a classified for a professional web hosting service. The description is clear and gives vivid details about the product (in this case, a web hosting service). When you hover your cursor on the image, you will notice that the destination is not an affiliate link.

I have used another URL and redirected it to the affiliate link so that people won’t know that I’m earning commissions from the product that I’m endorsing. The chances of having a click from visitors will be higher if you use another URL to hide your affiliate link.

It is best if you can use your own domain to hide the real destination of your classified ad (example: http://www.myurl.com/product) since people these days are avoiding suspicious links (like very long URLs, URLs with the word “referrer” in them, etc.).

If not, then you may use free redirection services like TinyURL or CJB.net. There are a lot of free redirection services available on the net, just search for them.

Posting Reviews of the Product

If you have a blog or a website which gives reviews, review the product that you’re endorsing! Your visitors will most likely buy the product if they read a positive review FROM YOU. (A friendly reminder: don’t forget your affiliate link…)

Your readers trust you, so it would be natural that they will trust the products that you’re promoting — they’ll be like people who buy goods that are seen in TV commercials just because their favorite superstar endorsed it.

Promoting the Product Through E-mail

Simply send e-mails to your good friends whom you think are interested in the product that you’re advertising and tell them that the item you’re promoting is the best of its kind, is of the best quality and is the cheapest of them all.

Make your subject catchy so that they won’t ignore your e-mail. The body of your message should be persuasive so that they will purchase the merchandise. For more tips on writing a good e-mail, check this previous post.
