Britney Spears Officially a Google AdSense User?
Posted by Mike | Filed under Google AdsenseApparently, Britney Spears has decided to use Google AdSense to makes some money. You will notice the 720-Wide Leaderboard AdSense Ad at the bottom of the official Britney Spears Website.
I have two theories about Britney Spears use of this;
- She is broke and needs the money or;
- Her manager is smart and has found away to cash in on her name even further
Reason two makes the most sense. Think about it. How many unauthorized Britney Spears websites are there out there? How many of them are making money off her name and not paying her royalties? There are likely thousands of unauthorized sites and many making a ton of money off of her fame. This could be a briliant way for Spears to take a cut off those profits. For example, the only reason a person would spend money using Google AdWords is to get Britney Spears interested Google traffic to their website with the intent to sell a product/service. The webmaster pays per click in hopes of making a product. By using Google AdSense, Britney Spears can now get paid for sending traffic to unauthorized websites thus taking a cut. Britney Spears official website likely gets tens of thousands of unique visitors a day and is making a pretty profit using Google AdSense. Could this be a presidence for future celebrities? I think so!
But do you think she writes her own blogs….I dont think she is smart enough…..maybe her manager does it……
But more on the Adsense part…it makes good economic sense to make the money yourself…after all as you say the unofficial sites make money using her name

I’m also considering using a specialized copywriting software called Glyphius. Has anyone had any experience with this? It is supposed to use statistical analysis to optimize the wording of your advertising copy. I’d be interested in hearing any feedback, good or bad. Thanks
Yeah they should do this earlier since they already have targeted traffics. Actually this is what I wonder before “why don’t they try Adsense on their site/blog since they have a lot of traffics”, it come true now lol
Well, I wouldn’t think she or even her manager runs that website; her manager probably pays someone to do it. So who gets the money? I’m pretty sure Britney doesn’t (does she even visit her website or knows what making money online is all about?). Maybe the manager has found another way to cash in on her or maybe the Adsense check will be a nice Christmas bonus for whoever runs the website (well done!).

Theory # 3: She has granted someone else the right to place ad sense ads on her website in return for that person providing webmaster/content creation/Internet marketing services for her.

You are probably correct. The only thing is the webmaster is making a butt load of money for a website that says “coming soon!”
I find you post interesting and you maybe right on most points, if not all. Many people make money by using their brains. And there they go, another way of taking the bucks!

These celebrities hire marketing managers to take care of their sites. Britney doesn’t even know what adsense is LOL.
Although they lack of adsense optimization but this is a good start for an artist to make money, maybe after this we could see other artist follow the same trend, could be?
Theory #2 seems more plausible.
She should fire her manager.

I’m sure the AdSense earnings are a drop in the ocean for her. She was probably told that these are used to pay for servers or something.
It just shows that AdSense is for any website that wished to make more money. wonder how many visitors she gets to her site. Putting adverts must make a serious profit otherwise it WILL be removed
Now, not only geeks can make a money from adsense… I think the website isn’t longer belong to her, someone just bought it and paste adsense.
