Text-Link-Ads-Logo

I have never been more frustrated with a company in my entire life. Today, I finally get to some backed up e-mails and I find this one from text-link-ads.com:

Hello Michael,

Unfortunately, we can no longer maintain one or more of your links. Below are the details of the replacements that we have chosen for them. You may choose to accept the replacement, or receive credit instead and choose a package on your own. If I don’t hear back from you in the next three days I will go ahead with the replacement.

They then list a site that they have replaced my link with. Let me explain why I am so frustrated!

The benefit of text-link-ads.com as a website owner is to either sell text links on your site or to purchase text links on other sites. By purchasing a link on a relevant site you can gain some traffic and also help your Google Page Rank (PR). I purchased five text links for my Microsoft Zune information site called Zune Info. All five links were Zune specific websites with at least a PR 4 and Zune related. This can only help my PR! What does the text-link-ads.com representative replace one of my links with? A War Hammer site! In their infinite wisdom, they replace my link on a Zune site with an online gaming site. This will do absolutely nothing to help my site, but because I didn’t respond in the 3 day requirement stated in the e-mail (not in the TOS agreement) I have been billed and the link replacement went into effect.

In response, I logged into my text-link-ads.com account and canceled all five links with them. I also e-mailed the representative and asked him where in my TOS it states they can replace my relevant links with irrelevant links? Due to this stupidity they just lost $100 a month.

This is not the first time I had a problem with the company. About 6 months ago I purchased two links on a website. They took my money as the website I wanted to advertise on auto-approved all ads. A week later, the website changed its mind and canceled my link. What did text-link-ads.com do? They gave me credit instead of a refund!

I’m simply amazed that such a big company can have such terrible business practices and such incompetent representatives. I canceled a $100 advertisement program with them and I’m sure I’m not the only one!

I have been scammed by someone from buying link too (not from text-link-ads though). He is clever because he removed my link 2 months after the deal, (I bought 6 months) and due to the paypal policy, I cant file a dispute to him. (Paypal only accept dispute which is made within 45 days after the payment)

Just my suggestion, try digitalpoint forum and only trade with those who have higher iTrader, of course it’s not easy to find a related site but at least it’s much more safer.

I’m curious about what is actually text-link-ads.com reason refuse to maintain your link and remove it to others…I think we should start thinking how to avoid this happen again. Maybe with contract or something else that disable them to make one side decision.
