Number OneSo did you think that traffic will only come if people see your site as “the best” or “the most entertaining” one? No! Hah, MORE people will visit your site if they are intrigued about it… and fortunately, you can make them intrigued by making a big “buzz”!

Asking for negative reviews of your site will make the readers of that review be curious about your site. They’ll have some questions and statements in mind like “Why is the reviewer so furious about this website (your site)?” and “I wonder what’s in the site that makes it bad…”. Of course, those statements are always followed by “Lemme check that site out!”. So you see, when people read negative news, they will be very intrigued and they would want to check what’s so wrong about that site!

How do you get negative reviews? It’s simple, just ask some bloggers to publish a post which talks about the negative sides of your website. You can even ask them to post made-up stuff to really make your site look bad! Just make sure that the blogger has some readers, or else you won’t get any traffic at all. Sometimes, some members of webmaster forums offer free reviews, so take advantage of those offers.

If you want to write your own review for your website, go ahead, no one’s stopping you. Just make sure you don’t post the article on the site that you’re reviewing! You may also write the post and ask others to publish it on their own sites. :D

A tip for you: The reviews must not be too detailed, leave some mystery so that the people will really get curious!

Here’s an example of a negative review:

Great… just great… I have found another site that annoyed me so much. It’s called The WWW Observer. It’s an SEO blog and the owner claims that the blog gives you tips on how to rank high on search engines and some traffic-building techniques.

The moment I saw the homepage, I said to myself… “This site is going nowhere.” Why? Because the design of the site looks too much like Macs! Dude, where’s the originality? If you ask me about the content of the site, sorry, ’cause I didn’t spend more than a minute on that site since the design totally pissed me off!

There you go people, I hope you got an idea on how to make a negative review. Make sure that a link to your site is included in the review because without the link, how will people find your site? They can use search engines, but if they don’t feel like it, there’s no way that they can check your site out.

Note: Negative reviews might affect your site’s reputation, but your site will surely get the respect of the visitors back after they see your site, especially if they find it useful. If your site is good, the visitors which were referred by the negative reviews will surely thank the reviewer for telling them about your website.
