Sometimes, Web Hosts Really Piss People Off

Web serverI have been reading web hosting reviews a while ago and I noticed that some people really get frustrated because of the crappy service that they got. I think that the reason why they got a “not-so-good” web hosting performance is because they paid like $1/month for the hosting service. I wouldn’t expect a class A service from a very cheap web host!

Have you ever had a bad experience with a web host and thought of switching to another one? If your choices include Host Gator, then there is one site that you must not miss. The site is HostGatorReviews.com. You can find useful user reviews of the said host which can help you decide whether to switch to HostGator or not. The site is currently looking for more people to, that’s why the owner(s) asked me to write this sponsored review of their website.

HostGatorReviews.com Review

43 reviewsOkay, so… I’m reviewing a review site! At first glance, I noticed that the site already accumulated a good number of user reviews. There are 42 positive reviews and 1 negative review, for a total of 43 reviews. Not bad, I must say…

The reviews are just okay, they’re not that detailed but they’re not one-liners like “HostGator rocks!” either. I just noticed something peculiar, and that is two of the reviews were dated 1969. I was a bit surprised since HostGator started on 2002.

1969 reviews?

The weird review date might have been caused by some database error, or it might have been “faked” by the owner. Now this makes me think… If the date has been faked, then there’s a chance that the reviews are fake too. The site owner might have just posted numerous positive reviews just so he can gain some profit through the HostGator affiliate program.

Anyway, HostGatorReviews.com also has a list of coupons, so choose the best HostGator coupon that suits your needs.

The Good and The Bad

The Good

• A good number of user reviews are available to help you decide.
• The site is really simple and provides adequate information.

The Bad

• There is a possibility that the reviews are fake, so I don’t know if you can really trust this site.

Conclusion

Web hosting reviews are really helpful before you purchase a hosting plan, so this site is a big help to you guys who are thinking of transferring to HostGator. If you think that you can’t trust the reviews written on this site, feel free to search Google (or your favorite search engine) for more reviews. ;)

Good overview. What I like is that, although it’s a sponsored review, you provided both pros and cons. Too often reviewers feel obligated to only write positive assessments since the review is sponsored.

Hopefully the site owner will address the issue of the weird “1969″ review dates because it does make one question the validity of the customer reviews.

I’ve been hearing so much about Host Gator lately, it’s getting hard not to buy a new domain or two. HostGator Reviews is just another push in the purchase direction, especially with the coupon codes.

The reviews sound pretty fake, however, so I’ll have to take blogger’s words for it.

I run a Build a Niche Store, and they highly recommend Host Gator for the hosting. I personally use Blue Fur, which is awesome. It’s cheap ($6.95 for the mini); you can host unlimited domains; and the customer service is impeccable.
