HostMonster Review

HostMonsterLooking for an affordable yet very professional and powerful web hosting service? Stop searching now because here’s a web host that you should definitely try! It’s called HostMonster, and it’s been online for years now. It is currently hosting over 130,000 domains and I can say that its reputation is really good.

HostMonster’s plans are very competitive; other hosts which give less than what HostMonster offers charge at least $10 per month while HostMonster only charges $5.95 per month. It has very interesting and useful features that would surely help new webmasters. It also has advanced tools which can be used by experts.

Web Hosting Plan and Server Uptime

HostMonster offers the following for the price of $5.95/month:

  • 300GB disk space
  • 3,000GB bandwidth per month
  • Free domain name for life
  • Host unlimited domains
  • cPanel
  • Fantastico
  • Unlimited e-mails

Those are not the only features that HostMonster offers, there are a lot more like free search engine submission for your sites, FTP access, spam protection and SSL secure servers. If you want to see the list of features, check their website.

The servers are always up, downtimes are VERY rare for this web host. I don’t have to elaborate on this one because the 130,000 sites which are hosted on HostMonster can speak for this issue. :)

You get a lot for only $5.95 per month, so why choose another host? If you’re worried about customer service and support, I’ll tell you what its customer service is like.

Customer Support

HostMonster’s customer support is superb. They have a toll-free hotline which you can call if you have any questions. If you don’t feel like calling, there’s always the live chat and the support e-mail! The customer service team responds quickly to all their customers’ inquiries; you will usually get a solution to your problems within 24 hours!

I can confidently tell you that this host’s customer service is great. No doubts about that. ;)

Conclusion

With a wide range of features and a very affordable price, there’s definitely no reason for you to not choose this host. The customer support team does a fine job too — don’t worry about account security and server bugs, they’ll help you with that! The only ‘bad’ side that I can see on this host is that it doesn’t offer reseller and dedicated plans, but nonetheless, it’s still an excellent web host.

What are you waiting for? Sign up for HostMonster now!

Frankly, I’d prefer HostGator and Bluehost over hostmonster, though bluehost and hostmonster are from the same company.

You can compare them at http://www.hostingmatrix.org/shared/compare/BlueHost+HostGator-Hatchling+HostMonster
