How I Make Money Online
Posted by Mike | Filed under Make Money OnlineHey guys. This is probably my last post as the owner/author of The WWW Observer. In case you didn’t know, I’m selling this blog. I’ve received promising offers, but it’s not yet sure when “the one” would take this blog. I promise though that I will introduce the new owner to you.
Anyway, here’s a post (probably a short one) to tell you guys how I really make money online. I’ve been sharing tips and tricks with you (and some ways how I make money), but I haven’t compiled a list of how I really earn.
1. Playing with Photoshop - I actually mentioned this already, so just read this post if you want to know how I do this. Basically, I just do some designs and sell them over at Digital Point. They don’t go for $300+ or something in that range, but at least I earn some money when I’m kinda bored and decide to do some “Photoshopping”.
2. Writing for this blog - Well, I won’t be able to make money by “writing for this blog” anymore once it’s sold, but I know that I haven’t shared how I earn with TW3O with you. I just sell ad spaces and some sponsored reviews to people.
I have installed Oiopublisher to automate the ad selling process — that makes it a lot easier for me! Advertisers don’t come all the time though, so there are were times when I have had to post a thread at DP to sell ad spaces.
It’s pretty easy to sell ads when you’ve got stable traffic and a good number of readers, so work on that if you don’t want to search high and low for advertisers!
3. Affiliate marketing - I have signed-up for different affiliate programs. They pay well, especially if you know how to get people to buy the affiliate stuff. Promoting a product that is related to your site/blog, or something that appeals to your contacts is a good idea.
4. Reselling stuff - I bought PLR stuff some time ago, and I have profited from them. I just bought some PLR articles and e-books, then sold them for a low price. I sold a lot of copies and gained what I spent in only one day.
I also bought a couple of WordPress themes before and I added a link to my site in the footer. I sold three links per theme to sponsors. Not only did I make some money, I also got some links to my website.
5. Offering services - Some of you know that I offer WordPress services and writing services. Well, I make money by doing those stuff as well. It’s fairly easy for me to write about stuff that I care about (I enjoy it too), so it’s not much of a hassle when I get some “orders”. You should consider offering services THAT DON’T MAKE YOU SO STRESSED. Keeping your body and mind healthy is more important than money. You wouldn’t want to earn $1,000 and then spend $1,500 for hospital fees, right?
6. Developing websites - I often develop small websites and sell them for a good amount of money. I just create some unique content, get a nice design, and then promote them for a month or so. Doesn’t take up much of my time and makes me a nice amount of money. If you have some cash to spare, try doing this as well.
There you go people, my methods of making money online. As you can see, I didn’t delve into specific details. Why? ‘Cause I want to keep them a secret.
Just kidding. It’s because I have no time to write all the details here. As I said, you can contact me via e-mail (linearprodigy [at] gmail [dot] com) if you want to keep in touch with me.
I mentioned before that there are a number of projects that I plan to work on in the future, so again you can reach me via e-mail if you’re interested in my future projects.
Before I end this post…
Here’s something that I would like to share with you. It’s a poem by Edgar A. Guest.
Can’t is the worst word that’s written or spoken;
Doing more harm here than slander and lies;
On it is many a strong spirit broken,
And with it many a good purpose dies.
It springs from the lips of the thoughtless each morning
And robs us of courage we need through the day:
It rings in our ears like a timely-sent warning
And laughs when we falter and fall by the way.Can’t is the father of feeble endeavor,
The parent of terror and half-hearted work;
It weakens the efforts of artisans clever,
And makes of the toiler an indolent shirk.
It poisons the soul of the man with a vision,
It stifles in infancy many a plan;
It greets honest toiling with open derision
And mocks at the hopes and the dreams of a man.Can’t is a word none should speak without blushing;
To utter it should be a symbol of shame;
Ambition and courage it daily is crushing;
It blights a man’s purpose and shortens his aim.
Despise it with all of your hatred of error;
Refuse it the lodgment it seeks in your brain;
Arm against it as a creature of terror,
And all that you dream of you some day shall gain.Can’t is the word that is foe to ambition,
An enemy ambushed to shatter your will;
Its prey is forever the man with a mission
And bows but to courage and patience and skill.
Hate it, with hatred that’s deep and undying,
For once it is welcomed ’twill break any man;
Whatever the goal you are seeking, keep trying
And answer this demon by saying: “I can.”
Well, if you’re doing something and you want to attain success, never ever say “I can’t do this!”. Just work hard to reach your goals!
If you’re thinking it’s too hard to do something, and decide to just look for shortcuts… here’s something for you:
“The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs… one step at a time.”
-Joe Girard
I used that quote in this post as well, feel free to read it if you haven’t yet.
Final words from me… Ahem. Thank you for everything, guys. I really appreciate you for subscribing, reading, and commenting. Writing for this blog was a great experience. I learned a lot by running this blog. I’ll never forget this experience, and the people who helped me go higher with this blog.
Thank you for everything Chetan, multippt, Tay, Jane, Yuhu, Jason, Renn, Chanya, Life is Colourful, Wayne, Bobby, Hussein, Ikki, and everyone else whom I wasn’t able to include here. You guys know who you are. You’ve helped me improve my blog and you will never be forgotten!
Of course, special thanks to Mr. Mike Smith of Blog Theme Machine for making me realize that getting scammed can really be frustrating, and experiencing it will make us choose the people whom we deal with carefully. I will never ever forget that one time that I got scammed on the net. It was my first, and I can say that it will probably be the last.
I’m pretty certain that we will cross paths again (except the scammer). Someday, somewhere, in this world called “the internet”.
Truly yours,
Jug

Hmmm nice way to end your posting sessions in this blog by sharing things that you used to do to earn from this blog.

Haha, don’t worry David, I’m pretty sure that the new owner would be able to come up with enjoyable posts.
Chetan: Yeah, I’ll be at Blogging Hop for sure.
Life is Colourful: Thanks man! I’ll be on your blog more often (when I find time).
Sorry to see you leave this, but if it had to be done it had to be done.
I’ve got you on MSN and
bulliedgot you to sign up to BP, so we’ll keep in touch.Good luck with the academics.
Hey Jug,

feel sad here hehe, you’re selling this blog for $1100USD? any chance you will change your mind? I can probably co-author with you haha!
anyway best of luck in future endeavour and if you find a really rewarding one, maybe you’ll let me share some of the wealth too? kindly add me to ur MSN, if possible
Ow… We will miss you..
I have learned a lot from this blog. Your the youngest blogger I’ve met so I will never forget you
I am sorry that you are going to sell this wonderful blog. But it is you who decide. Good luck!
I’m sorry to see this is really happening however I can understand your reasons. I bet you’ll end up with another blog; you’re such a good writer (and clearly love doing it). You’ll probably really miss it once the sale is final.
Here’s wishing you all the best in whatever you decide to do.
Banago, Chanya: Thanks!
Hussein: What about Carl Ocab? xD
Bobby: No way, not $1,100. I got some private offers but I won’t disclose it here anymore.
I’ll add you on MSN.
Why don’t make this blog a multi-authored blog? Just few days ago I see you are looking for someone to help you with the wordpress MU isn’t it? Anyway, you had your own reason
Just as you said, we may cross paths again somewhere in Internet
(I am a full time affiliate marketer)
I stumbled it
Hey, thanks for the stumble man.
Geesh… thanks a lot for everything guys.
Meanwhile you might want to check us out here (Am I spamming or what? I’m terribly sorry if you guys consider it as spam, as it is not related to internet marketing whatsoever)
It’s one of our (my friends and I) projects, so I’d really appreciate if you could drop by and tell us what you think. You could keep in touch with me through that site, too.
Good luck Jug! Make more great post at your future blog…I’m wondering who will take care this blog during the transition period…
I think (and hope) the transition will be smooth. I’ll introduce the new owner to you guys too.
This means that you sold the blog to sb? Right?
Banago: sb? Who’s sb? xD
Maybe he meant somebody…
What? Selling your blog? Must have been because that cow (John Cow, I mean) is selling his blog? I think you should continue this blog, since it has waaay more potential than anything else.
No, not selling cause the cow is. I’m selling because I have to set my priorities.
I saw my name in here and was like :O OMG!
Thank YOU for all the quality stuff you wrote for us! I’ve learned a lot from your experiences!
As I said earlier here on another entry, I really hope to see you coming back soon
David: Unfortunately it’s true. Mike’s here anyway. I’m sure he’ll take care of the blog.
Ikki: I will come back with another site (in fact, I already did), but nowhere near the IM/MMO niche. It’s taking quite a lot of my time and as I said I need to concentrate on my studies.
Affiliate marketing is something i REALLY need to focus on this year.
