I Guess It’s Time…

An Important Matter

Okay, I’m not going to make this post long. This is a very important matter and I truly believe that it has to reach all of you guys. Let me start with this. When I started blogging, I met a lot of great people online and they helped me with all my endeavors. As I became more experienced, people (particularly my friends) noticed that I have been spending less time with them. I didn’t mind it at first, but as this blog grows, things concerning my relationship with my friends are just getting worse.

We were supposed to go to the beach after the exams, but I didn’t join them because I knew I had to do some stuff for this blog. I can’t leave it unattended like I did last February (sorry for that guys)! I could’ve brought my laptop to the beach, but if I did, I wouldn’t be able to be with my friends — I’ll be locked up in the cottage and do some webmaster stuff! I know I can have a vacation for a week or so and not post here, but I care for you guys (heh). So yeah, you get it right? I’m getting “pulled away” from my friends because of some internet marketing related stuff…

Wait, it’s not just about my relationship with people, even my academic standings were affected. I know, school’s over but I didn’t meet my goal — to be top 1. (Dammit!) Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t regret establishing this blog and writing posts. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that my priorities were affected.

So what’s going to happen? Well, I decided to GIVE THIS BLOG TO A LOYAL READER who can give me an excellent reason why the blog should be his/hers. I’m not going to give TW3O to a random person, and the more I’m not going to sell it to some heartless company (look at what happened to CashQuests). I want this blog to prosper even though I’m not the one handling it anymore. I believe that setting a price for this blog will just decrease the chances of having a rightful owner, so I am giving it away.

Qualifications

  • You must have an experience in blogging. I will check your “background” and your blog, so make sure you have some great content there!
  • You must be dedicated. This is self-explanatory already.

How do you get the chance to be the new owner of TW3O? First, post your reason on your current blog and link to this post so I can receive a trackback and check the people who want to be the owner. I will read your reason/explanation, then I’ll check your background (your about page and everything). I will choose the new owner within 24 hours — yes, 24 hours. Why? I have an important activity to attend to and I wouldn’t want to miss it.

I will e-mail the chosen one to confirm (I should see an e-mail add in your about page, or if it’s not there, make sure you have a contact form). I’ll send him the log-in details and everything after I receive a reply to my confirmation e-mail.

Stats and Stuff

Traffic: 600-700 unique visitors a day - This number is increasing as I’m currently promoting this blog.
PR: 4 - Yeah, I know some of you guys want the PR. So there. It’s a 4.
Subscribers: I promised myself not to reveal the numbers until I get a really huge amount of subscribers, so the new owner will just find out. I assure you that I have a stable readership base though.

By the way, this blog will be celebrating its first “birthday” on May 22, 2008. I would like to ask the future owner (it’ll be one of you guys!) to PLEASE have a grand celebration on the 22nd of May.

Last Words…

For one last time, let me say this. Thank you SO much guys for supporting me and giving life to this blog. Without you, TW3O won’t be where it is right now. You’re responsible for its success. You made it all happen. Thank you for participating actively in my contests, and thanks for everything else. I had a great and wonderful experience, and I’ll never forget it. You can still keep in touch with me though. Just drop me an e-mail! jugtk [at] myway [dot] com. (You spammers better get outta here!)

I am looking forward to your reasons why you should be the new owner of this blog. Once again, thank you!

I hope the new owner will do the blogging as good as you did, Jug!

Is there any chance you’ll establish a new blog sometime in the future?

Meethere: Don’t worry, the winners will get their prizes ;) I’m preparing the “contest winners” post right now.

Louis Liem: I might establish a new blog sometime.

-EDIT- For those who are interested (I assume you all are!), here are the winners for the summer contest: http://www.tw3o.com/its-almost-summer-contest-winners/

    Thanks again for joining.

Good luck with everything Jug. And yeah IMO you should sell. ;)

Oh no, this makes me so sad. As I was reading the post I kept saying to myself “please don’t let this end with Jug saying he’s closing the blog.”

If I thought I could do it justice I’d put in a bid myself but I’m having trouble keeping my primary site updated because I’m spending so much time developing niche blogs.

I really admire the way you’re planning to hand over ownership of the site. I hope you get someone that will care about it like you do. Question: if you don’t get an offer from a worthy candidate will you consider taking recommendations for new owners? For example, I can think of 2-3 bloggers that could do a good job with the blog. I might shoot them an email to see if they’re interested.

Again, I’m sad to hear that you’re moving on but you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished here.

but why dont you sell it ?

You don’t believe in material things ($$)

Hmm. I recently started a blog that I wanted to run alongside TUK however yours is already established and would be easier to take to the next level.

If you want it going to someone that will update regularly and provide your readers with interesting content to browse over, drop me an email. It will be in good hands, trust me :)

You know my details - email me at this address if you see fit.
