When people say that they are interested in making some money using the internet, one of my favorite replies has to be by using a cashback website whenever you make any kind of purchase or transaction online.

Nearly everyone who has access to the internet will use it to make some sort of a transaction at one point. Now, if these people were to use a cashback website before making their transaction, they could be saving (or earning, depending how you look at it) a nice amount of money.

At a cashback website you will find links to thousands of various online retailers, and so if you were to click onto one of these retailers and then go on to purchase an item or perform some kind of transaction on their website, the cashback website will track your action and will offer you some kind of cashback reward.

The amount of cashback money available will depend on the cashback website that you use (there are several available to join currently), as each cashback website has its own kind of profit margins set up. For example, the cashback website might earn £10 from your transaction but might only choose to pay you £5, which is 50% of the cashback that they would have received. Another cashback website might pay you £9 from the £10 cashback, which is 90% of the total cashback. The cashback website still makes a profit from your transaction, even after paying out the money to you.

The amount of cashback available will also depend on the online retailer that you are shopping at. Some online shops might only pay the cashback website about 5% of the total price of the transaction, whereas other shops might pay 10% of the total price of the transaction.

There are some ways of making money using cashback websites without actually having to spend any money. I worked out recently that you can earn around £30 cashback just by applying to join free websites, and for taking advantage of free offers. This usually involves setting up an account at a website for free, and earning around £1 cashback for doing so. So even if you don’t want to actually spend any money, you can still earn plenty of cashback online for performing certain activities.

You don’t also have to be spending money at online retailers to earn cashback. The cashback websites will pay out money for all kinds of transactions made – you can earn cashback for applying for credit cards, for joining online gambling websites, for opening up bank accounts, etc.

Cashback websites can be a great way of making some extra money on the Internet, and are especially worth using if you are currently purchasing a lot of items online.
