Does your site sell a lot of stuff and are you having a hard time by manually replying to each customer’s order? Have you been wishing for an automated system to help you sell your products easier? Or… have you been using boring and very complicated shopping carts? If so, then osCommerce is for you.

osCommerce is more than just a shopping cart. osCommerce is a free, open source e-commerce solution for all types of online businesses. It has many special features that other solutions/shopping carts do not offer, and this fact differentiates it from the others.

Set-up and Requirements

The installation process is very easy as it is browser-based — just follow the simple instructions and you’re done. This shopping cart is compatible with all PHP 4 versions, so I think most of you can use this amazing online shop.

Great Features

osCommerce allows the administrator to change the layout/template of the site, and this incredible feature can make your site stand out from the crowd. There are numerous osCommerce templates and free osCommerce add-ons available on the net, so you have a wide variety of choices.

Your site can be organized through the use of product categories. This way, customers can find what they need easier, and they can purchase your items faster, meaning you can make money quicker! You may have UNLIMITED product categories for your site, thus the earning opportunity will never be limited. If you’re worried about website content, you may use an osCommerce RSS plug-in to grab feeds for instant news and stories.

Your customers will surely enjoy your site if you have osCommerce since they can view their order history and status, have the ability to search for products and read some reviews about best-selling items on your site. They will feel secure when they’re on your site since all transactions are transmitted through SSL.

Need to update and fix a lot of stuff but got no time to do so? Well, don’t worry because there are some products available on the internet which can help you edit osCommerce attributes.

If you’re worried about the payment methods, don’t fret any longer since osCommerce is so flexible and it allows you to accept payments via different payment processing sites like PayPal and 2CheckOut. Oh, and you can even receive your payments offline through checks and money orders!

Conclusion

I can really say that osCommerce is one of the best e-commerce solution for everyone. If you have an online business, use it now before it’s too late — before you lose a lot of money-making opportunities!

osc is surely a great open source cart. have used it many times on ecommerce projects. Only takes a few minutes for most users to learn their way around the admin panel so the learning curve is pretty short
