Making Money Online Isn’t All About Making Money Online!
Posted by Mike | Filed under Make Money Online
Pretty long title, eh? Well, I don’t know how to put the idea into a much shorter statement, so there ya have it. Guys and gals, we all know that there are people who strive to make money online. I mean duh, we’re even part of the “group of people” who want to earn some cash through the internet! There are tons of ways to make money online — selling your products, joining affiliate programs, offering your services, and lots more. But there are things that are much easier to do and can bring you a larger income with minimal efforts! What are these things? Don’t tell me you don’t know — these are actually the bad things — scamming, phishing, whatever.
Let’s focus on scamming since I just got ripped off by some guy who happens to run a blog designing service. When you scam, you take the money of your client and run away like nothing happened. It’s like there was no communication or whatever took place. You don’t deliver the item/service that your client PAID for (And yes, this includes time, as wasting your client’s time is like wasting their money!). All that happened is you earned some money without doing anything that will satisfy your client. You might be asking, “If people can actually make money online just like that, then why do people still exert effort into creating innovative products, offering quality services, and other good stuff?” It’s simply because making money online isn’t all about making money online (that’s the title, all right).
Listen pals, real people don’t try to earn online for the sake of getting wealthy and have a luxurious life. They try to make a living on the net not just to simply “make money”, but to make their customers happy as well. That’s why when you pay via PayPal or your CC or whatever, the act is called a transaction — it’s when two parties agree to give up something in order to receive something else. As the person offering the service (or goods), once you agree with your client on a specific thing, you are OBLIGED to do what will satisfy them. You must be able to do that thing. If you can’t, why did you agree in the first place? On the other hand, the client must pay the price that you asked for your service.
We coexist; we don’t live for our own pleasure only. Making money online is also like that. You don’t make money online just to be filthy rich. You also have to make sure that you’re earning the money because YOU deserve it. Your client is supposed to be happy to pay for what you’re doing. What I’m stressing here is that your money is NOTHING if your reputation is so bad and you can be considered as a shameless butthole (you know what I mean
).
Why am I saying all of these things? It’s because the guy who scammed me doesn’t seem to stand by his commitments. [Read this post to understand the next sentences] He “promised” that he will give the files right after I close the PayPal dispute, but did I get the files? No! Well, actually I did, but I got them after three (3) freakin’ months. What in the world?! Do you speak of HONOR?
Anyway, enough of this stupid thing. I’m ending the issue with Mr. Mike Smith (the guy who scammed me) right here, right now. What I want you guys to realize (if you haven’t yet) is that making money online doesn’t only revolve in getting thousands of dollars in your bank. It also involves building good relations with your customers, creating a , and establishing a good reputation for your company.
Ciao for now people, I need to do my oh so important school projects and assignments. Stay tuned, and I encourage y’all to participate in the contest. There’s nothing to lose anyway!

Sorry to here about you getting scammed online.
So far for myself so good.
I always love to see a ‘make money site’ with live support. I agree customer communications are very important and building up a large active ‘happy’ user-base is the key to success.
Ben: Thanks for dropping by! Well, I hope that you won’t be scammed by some nasty people out there.
You may be ending the issue with him, but I’m only just getting started…
Watch out for my blog post in a couple of days
Hey. Gtull1 from DP here.
I agree man. There are a lot of scammers online. DPO is full of them. It makes me sick. I was almost scammed. I ended up scaring him pretty good, but he was set to nail me.
It’s not all about the $. Well said.
Jason: Good luck man.
Dui: Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you ’round here more often.
Great post Juggler… The scammer is slowly getting more and more attention-I can tell that because I’ve seen the easywordpress.com post and the Digital point threads. He won’t get any more customers soon, so no one will get scammed.
I have to agree 100% with this post! Making money online involves making new friends, connections, and having a good online reputation. Not just making $1000++ per month!
I give this post 10/10. 2 Thumbs Up!
Yuhu: Thank you very much! Hey, you haven’t updated your blog for a couple of days. You busy or something?
Scamming is nothing new.. i got scammed couple of times, once by a design company and other by a link builder.. but have to move on. Scammers have an end always somewhere.

Getting scammed not only messes with your wallet, it messes with your mind. You can’t help feeling violated in some way. I hope you have learned some lessons from your experience and that you don’t let it color your opinion of everyone who is in the same business as the ones who scammed you are.
Posting who and what they did will go a long way towards keeping them from scamming others and may just get you some of your money back as well. Sometimes, when confronted with the dirty deed in public, it makes people re-think their methods.
Good luck!

Sorry to hear your bad news. I hear that Paypal often don’t do enough to protect users. Last year it was reported that if a scammer stole under £500 then it wasn’t worth any police time. A few weeks later a friend got scammed at Liverpool Street. She checked that her Paypal had been credited with £300 and gave the scammer a phone. After he’d received it, he cancelled the payment somehow (might have been a fake card, I don’t know the exact details). Neither Paypal nor the police would help my friend. Though she can still call the scammer and have words with him.
Oh, “take the money of your client” should be “take the money off…”.
Good luck!
Jon.
Jon: I meant that you take your client’s money (the money of your client). Heh, sorry for the confusion.
The irony of money is that it seems to almost always go to those who weren’t looking for it. While I agree scamming is a serious thing, I still feel that you should have some mercy on the scammer (after all, he did return half of the goods, unlike some who simply got away with it).
multippt: I’m actually quite thankful that he gave me the files, but hey, there are still people (lots of them actually) who never got the service that they deserve.
I’ve been there. Paid a guy $75 for a unique Joomla template and all I got was a markup that looked like crap. Instead of doing the professional thing and refunding me my money or producing a proper template, he just ignored me. Really gets me going more the fact that paypal has no protection against these scams.
Great post. It’s definitely important to build good contacts in this business, wether it’s web design, seo, content creation, etc.
Jennifer: Sorry to hear that… getting scammed sucks so much, eh?
Chihuahua: Thanks.

That’s one heck of a post, Jason.
Is it doomsday for Mr. Mike Smith already?
Scammer could hppen anywhere, not only in the interenet…What should be well noted is customer will not come back for doing another transaction, if seller could not satisfy them…
