Need a Sitemap Generator?

Posted by Mike | Filed under SEO

What’s an XML sitemap?

Google SitemapAn XML sitemap is a file which helps search engine spiders crawl your site. It’s basically a “systematized version” of your site — links are organized in a hierarchical way so that the spiders can follow and index each and every link in your website.

What’s its use in SEO? By having a sitemap, search engine spiders will be guided and there’s a guarantee that your entire site (if not the whole site, then most of the pages) will be indexed. Because of that, your site’s visibility in the search results will increase. That’s the main goal of SEO right? To have better rankings? And oh… remember, better visibility leads to more visitors… and with more visitors, you’ll have more customers… and by having more customers, you’ll earn more money!

How do I create a sitemap for my site?

A really easy way to create sitemaps is by using a sitemap generator. There are tons of quality generators which can spider an unlimited number of pages, but they usually cost some money. There are also free sitemap generators which have some limitations, but can do a good job as well.
