ScratchBack

ScratchBack is a new and definitely FUN way for publishers to make money online, and for the others to give the publishers a pat on the back and advertise their site. It’s actually a tipping system where your readers can appreciate your work by giving you some cash. You (the publisher) will set the price, and it can be as low as $1!

ScratchBack system

Is it another link broker?
Don’t say “Oh no!”, Google won’t penalize you for buying ScratchBack links. All links have the nofollow attribute, so they won’t be considered paid links which get the PR juice. Just pure tipping, advertising and appreciation. ;)

Will my readers even care to leave a tip for me?
Why not? If they like your content, I guess that the best way to acknowledge your work is to give you some spare cash. Plus, they will not be simply “donating”, they can actually gain some benefits! You display their links (or images, if you please) for giving you a tip.

How much will I earn from each tip? How will I get paid?
You’ll get 90% of each tip that people give you and the payment will be issued to you via PayPal (no checks at this time). 10% will go to the amazing guys at ScratchBack. They’ll use it to improve the site and pay for the hosting fees. ;)

Are text links the only option?
Nah, you can use images if you want. I’m using text links here though.

Is this system worth trying? Yes, of course! There’s no harm in getting a few dollars because your diehard fans the crowd out there appreciates you. I’m currently using it, you can see it right below the “Recommended Sites”. Looks pretty cool, huh? Why don’t you sign-up now so that you can test-drive this new program? (There are no affiliate links; they don’t have an affiliate program yet — I know, it sucks!)

P.S. If you can leave a tip for The WWW Observer, please do so. Thanks!

You’re not making them rich; you’re even getting 90% of the tips! Why not give them 10% for the great idea (and cool-looking widget)?

It definitely looks interesting, but I’ve always been a bit hesitant to put silly looking widgets on my clean blog design.

Regardless, in a few days - when I transfer some money to my PayPal account - I am definitely going to tip you.

Too bad there are no affiliates. Anyway, Text Link Ads will always have an advantage over ScratchBack. More people would still like TLA because it helps build links and PR.

I still think ScratchBack is worth a try.

Juggler: You just got a tip! Don’t spend it all in one place.
