The Importance of RSS Feed Subscribers
Posted by Mike | Filed under Blogging, Internet MarketingSeriously, What or Who are They?
Your RSS feed subscribers are the people who read your content through a feed reader. They are probably your most loyal readers. Why? By subscribing to your feeds, they are like saying “I don’t want to miss any post that you make because they cool my mind!”. They are the people whom you write for; they are your audience!
How Important are RSS Feed Subscribers?
Well… what can I say? RSS subscribers are very important. They are vital to any blog’s success. Without them, your blog wouldn’t be anything close to being a big hit. Sure, you’re getting visitors to your blog… but do they actually read your write-ups? I don’t think so. They just scan your articles to get the information they need and then they scram.
Here’s something that I would like to share with you: RSS subscribers are the backbone of any blog.
Were you expecting a longer statement? Sorry to disappoint you!
Why are RSS Feed Subscribers Important?
RSS subscribers are YOUR assets. They read your articles and most of the time, they find them WORTH THE READ. I assure you that they do because they would not subscribe to your feed if they don’t!
They support you and they help you improve your writing for FREE. What else would you want?
RSS subscribers help your blog to the road of fame. Seriously, they do! Since they always see your great articles, there is always a high chance that they’ll link to your stuff. When they link to your “big scoops”, they are actually giving your blog some backlinks and exposure, and so more and more people will be able to find it.
RSS subscribers are one of your biggest traffic sources. They do not only give you links, they also give you traffic. How? Whenever they find your articles informative, they will surely be recommended by your readers. They will either submit it to social news sites like Digg and Propeller (formerly Netscape) or tell their friends through instant messengers and e-mails. Sometimes, when they just can’t resist to tell the whole world about your articles, they even blog about it! Now, are you realizing how lucky you are with your subscribers?
RSS subscribers can help your internet marketing campaigns. Are you struggling to get more people to buy that e-book you wrote? Perhaps your subscribers can help you! I’m pretty sure that the most loyal of the loyal subscribers do not want to pass your amazing offers, so they always make sure that they get a copy of your e-books and other publications… And they will recommend your products to their colleagues that are interested in your product, that’s for sure!
RSS subscribers help you make money! This is true especially if advertisements go with delivered feeds. Your RSS subscribers are the ones who click those ads. Most of the time, they are also the ones who buy your ad spaces on your sites, if you have! Why? Simple. It’s because they trust your style of writing and they know that a lot of people will visit your blog (and in return, they’ll get visitors).
Conclusion
Well, now that you know how important your subscribers are, be sure to treat them with the respect that they deserve. Try offering some freebies to your subscribers; I’m sure they’ll be happy if you do! This article will be followed by another one which deals with the same topic, RSS feed subscribers. I suggest that you watch out for it.
