If you really want traffic for your website, why not offer some free stuff to your visitors so that they will visit your site frequently and check for more freebies?

When offering free stuff, you must keep in mind that most of the people who get your freebies are NOT willing to spend. So, do not expect them to buy your products after they claim your free offers. It is possible to turn them into buyers, but it’ll take a lot of time and effort to do so.

After you read this post, you will learn how to effectively offer freebies in order to get traffic, site exposure, and hopefully, some buyers.

Know what to offer

There are many stuff that you may want to offer to your visitors, but there are some things that they will absolutely like and they will probably send to their friends.

To know what to offer, you must learn what your visitors’ interests are. If your site is about video games, most probably your visitors are kids or teenagers who play those games. Try to offer free game cheats or codes to your visitors, and they might pass your site to their friends.

Just remember that your offers must be unique. Otherwise, your visitors will just go to the most popular site in your niche, instead of your site.

Know when to update your offers

Your visitors (who go to your site for freebies) won’t return to your site if you’re not updating your free stuff, so be sure to update your offers as frequently as you can. Twice a week or maybe thrice a month will do.

Do NOT remove your “older” freebies (meaning don’t let your freebies expire), because some people are passing your site to their friends for some SPECIFIC free stuff. Just keep on adding freebies, and just make an archive of them if you think all those won’t fit in just one page.

Turn your visitors into buyers

All of us want to earn some money from our traffic, but what if your visitors are just coming to your site for free stuff? Well, it is possible to turn them into buyers, you just have to be creative.

When you offer free stuff, you may want to include a product that is related to your freebie on the page where you offer the free item. For example, if you’re offering free avatars/icons, try to sell a high-quality tutorial which teaches you how to make superb icons.

Keep in mind that your visitors are NOT really spenders, so keep the prices low. Offer some high-quality stuff for $2.00 or $3.00, and some unique items for a dollar.
